    Hello Mike Brady,

Generally it is possible but it depends on the idea behind these two databases. By design Generic Content providers supports only one connectionString - one database.

    Hi Ivan,

Do you have any sample's or documentation that shows the approach? What would be the recommended approach for our situation (one web app, 2 domains).

    Thanks,

    Hello Mike Brady,

Please check the article Customizing Modules -> Adding Providers in the User Manual. It pretty much explains what the purpose of several providers is.

You can have more than one provider for a given module. Each provider is associated with connection string. Once you add another provider to the application, you will see a drop down in the corresponding module, which will allow you to select with whose provider you are working with.

    Best wishes,
