    Hi,
    Does the RAD Editor in Sitefinity include all of the tools in the Full set of tools on this page http://demos.telerik.com/aspnet-ajax/editor/examples/default/defaultcs.aspx?

    Thanks,
    Devin

    Hi Devin,

    Yes, the Rad Editor in Sitefinity is the same as the one on the demopage but the tools file, which configures the tools, is different.
    In order to show all the tools you will need to change the tools file.
    Here is an example on how this is done for the GenericContent new item inside the admin.

    1. Be sure to use the external templates.
    2. Open ~\Admin\ControlTemplates\Generic_Content\ContentNewView.ascx
    3. Change the Rad Editor tools file from:
    ToolsFile="~/Sitefinity/Admin/ControlTemplates/EditorToolsFile.xml"
    to:
    ToolsFile="~/Sitefinity/Admin/ControlTemplates/EditorToolsFileAll.xml"
    4. Save.(see screen shot)

     Hope this helps.

    Kind regards,
    Nikolai

    Hi Nikolai,
    I tried this and when I did I got this error:

    A required control was not found in the template for "~/Sitefinity/Admin/ControlTemplates/Generic_Content/ContentNewView.ascx". The control must be assignable form type "System.Web.UI.IEditableTextControl" and must have ID "textEditor".

    Is ContentNewView.ascx the correct control?

    Hello Devin,

    As I see it you are trying to customize GenericContent control which uses GenericContentControlDesigner template where RadEditor control has ID="textEditor". The template is located under [Sitefinity_3_7_1990_standard_ExternalTemplates]Sitefinity/Admin/ControlTemplates/Generic_Content
