We have some users who have forgotten their password, and as an administrator, I'd like to be able to reset their password.
If I navigate to Administration > Users > (Specific User)
Click on "Reset Password"
Click on "confirm"
I expected one of the following:
The administrator to be able to set a password for them, or
The user receives an email with instructions on how to reset their password
Based on what I've read, only the latter is supported. But, it's not working.
In settings: Administration > Advanced > System > SMTP
I set host to "127.0.0.1"
Delivery Method: Network
DefaultSenderEmailAddress: a real email address
In 'inetmgr' on the same server, I have the SMTP service enabled.
I have logging enabled, and have not seen any attempts from Sitefinity to send any mail.
Am I missing some settings that need to enable this?
