Hello,  I'm installing on windows XP machine.  On intial installation I got the error Failed to access IIS metabase and ran the suggested aspnet_regiis –i utility.  But now when I try to set up the sample project I'm getting the following error.  I've also tried to create my own project, go through the wizard, but then get the same error.  I've search the forum for this error, but have not found reference to it.  Any help would be greatly appreciated ... thanks ... Chris.

    Hello,

Maxim, thank you for taking a part in this discussion.

Chris, the other thing you could try, is to download a version intended to work with .NET20. The versions that support this platform end up with _20 in their name. You could find them in your Client.Net account.

Don't hesitate to contact us if you have other questions.

    Kind regards,

    Hi Georgi,

Thank you for your response.  I uninstalled the version for 3.5 and then downloaded/installed the .NET20 version.  However, now when I have the manager generate the sample site I get this error ...

    Hi Chris,

The problem is that you do not have the MS Ajax extensions as well. We are using Ajax, so you need to have those libraries as well. You can get them from the official MS Asp.Net web site.

Let us know if you need any further assistance.

    Best wishes,

    Hi Georgi,

I've been away a few days, but am still having problems with the sample site creation.  I must still be missing something.  I downloaded and installed the MS Ajax extensions as you suggested, but am still getting similar type error as before ...

    Hello Chris,

Check out whether you have reference to this assemble and whether it exists in the GAC. You can also check whether you have this assemble under C:\Program Files\Reference Assemblies\Microsoft\Framework\v3.5 ( if you are running under 3.5)

    I hope this helps.

    All the best,
