I'm trying to set up RSS feeds on two of my sitefinity projects.

Realy beleive I'm doing everything right, and create the feed, but when I try opening the fees URL, the webserver only replies "404 - File not found".

    Any idea?

    Hello Mutantmannen,

You cannot view RSS because you don't have ISAPI mappings for .rss extension on the server. ISAPI mappings tell the Internet Information Server how to direct requests for processing. In this case, we instruct that requests with file extensions “.rss“ should be passed to ASP.NET for processing.
For more details about adding application mappings, see User Manual, chapter Configuring IIS.

Let us know if you need any further assistance.

    OOOUUUPPPSS!

    Was a bit quick there.

    This change causes error:

    "Server Error in '/' Application.
    Value cannot be null.
    Parameter name: virtualPath
Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. Please review the stack trace for more information about the error and where it originated in the code. "

when you do not enter a spesific "file" url, and only the domain. All pages works fine except the frontpage.

    Any idea?

    Hi Mutantmannen,

We spent quite a lot time researching for a possible explanation for the error but we are not able to determine the root cause. This is why it would be really helpful if you can send us the whole project including a backup of the database so we could test it locally. Also, do not forget to send us all user controls, scripts, images, .css files, .dll files, etc. You can open a new support thread and attach the project as a zip file.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

    Kind regards,
    Nikifor

    Hi Mutantmannen,

To open a new support ticket, go to Support section at the Sitefinity web site and click Submit a Support Ticket. You can find it under the Submit an Inquiry box. You just need to archive your roject and attach the zip to the ticket. You can leave out the RadControls folder.

Please let us know if you have any other troubles with submitting the ticket.

    All the best,
    Nikifor

    Hello Mutantmannen,

Please note that you can upload up to 10MB. What we suggest is that you first send us the project database, sitefinity.log file and web.config file zipped and attached to the support ticket. We'll try to reproduce the error and let you know if we'll need the whole project afterwards.

Thanks for your assistance in advance.
