    Greetings,

I am using the Community Edition 3.6 of SiteFinity, and I have been trying to figure out how to customize the contact information as well as the name of the company. I usually expect that this can be edited under the site's administrative panel, but I have been unable to locate it thus far.

Where can this information be set up at?

    Thanks!

    Hello andersleet,

Could you send us a screenshot of the details you want to change or provide us with steps?

    Most certainly:

Below is a link for a screenshot of the contact information I want to change:

Also, here is the company name/logo:

I'm not sure what you mean by steps, but here is what I have tried so far:
    • Editing each page on the site to try to find the one that can be edited
    • Looking inside some of the master page files, I did find some things but it didn't make sense to edit it there because other pages use an <asp:ContentPlaceHolder /> for the contact info/company name
    • Looked in the web.config file
If there is any more info that might be helpful, let me know.

    Thanks!

    Hi andersleet,

The contact information has been added by someone of your team. Possible ways.

    1. It is added into the template by a user control. You can take a look at Pages >> Templates using Sitefinity interface.
    2. It is hardcoded in the mastrpage ( by default Inner.master or Main.master) located under App_Master folder of your project root.

Thanks Ivan, here is what I am seeing in the Inner/Main.master pages:

<!-- Here is the CompanyName place holder -->
    <class="logo"><asp:contentplaceholder id="CompanyName" runat="server"></asp:contentplaceholder></p

<!-- And here is the contactContent place holder -->
    <div id="contact" class="contact"
        <h3>Contact Us</h3>
        <asp:contentplaceholder id="contactContent" runat="server"></asp:contentplaceholder>
    </div>

As you can see, both instances are not editable.. At least not the section I need it to be. the text "Phone: 899-3444-1213, Fax: 899-3444-1222, E-mail: office@myorganization.org" is not in the master pages.

Please advise on what steps I should take next!

    Thanks,
    anders

I suppose another, better, way to present this question is:

Where can I set the value of 'contactContent' and 'CompanyName'? (these are the IDs of the contentplaceholders in the above post)

With the inner (3col) template, I can add controls to the contact section, but if I switch back to the regular 3col template this is what I get:

    Cheers,
    anders
