    Hello,
I looked at the installation guide and there were some points which i was wondering about.

    The Wildcard application mapping part.

If i'm not entirely mistaken one of the features of IIS7 is that everything can be configured using web.config, would it be possible to configure this part in web.config just for the sitefinity website, because i suppose getting access to IIS7 isn't offered on shared hosters ?

    Hi Asti,

Thank you for using our services.

You can add Wildcard script mapping through your web.config, but most probably the web host will ignore them. I suggest that you should contact your provider and ask him whether you can add script mapping through website's config file.

    Sincerely yours,

    Hello Ivan,

    thanx for quick reply

do you know of any webhosters were sitefinity has been tested and that it works?

Also, more on a architectural side of IIS7 (ignoring what webhosters do), i thought the point of moving the IIS7-configuration to web.config was to make things modular and seperation of concerns. I.e. if I implement wildcard-setting on my site it should not concern the webhoster since it's only affecting (and limited) to my website or what do you think? :-)

    Hello Asti,

You can take a look at our hosting partners list.

Since you are going to use web hosting server I am not sure whether you will be able to get this working on a production.

    Kind regards,
