I'd like to transfer a site from my development server to the production server.  Unfortunately, the dev server is running MySQL, and the production server MSSQL (2005).  Is there a way to export a site's database from within Sitefinity, and import it again on the new server?  I'm trying to avoid MSSQL->MySQL conversion.

    Hi Ian,

Sitefinity cannot convert your database from SQL Server to MySQl. You can find any convertor that will do this.

Similar to this we are now looking to change the database we use.
We have been using Oracle, but will soon be getting MS SQL Server 2008 can we export the content from Oracle and import it into SQL Server?

    Hello Simon,

Thank you for using our services.

As Ivan has noted we do not provide tools for database conversions. Since you are going to use an existing Sitefinity database you should find a tool that will create a MS SQL database out of your Oracle database. Then just point the Sitefinity site to the new db server and db. I believe there a number of tools that have this functionality.
