I am currently working on my very first SiteFinity Website.

I read in User Manual that SiteFinity is not needed to be installed in production environment for CMS tools to work.

My question is: Are there any SiteFinity components that I would need to deploy along with the web site so that CMS continues to work, once the web site has been deployed in production environment?

    Thanks for the help!

    Hello Nitin,

You only need to configure the IIS properly and add all external files that you have added to the staged server such as images, CSS, user controls and any other resources you have created.

Migrating to the Production Web Server is a mere physical relocation of your application and you don’t need to deploy any additional Sitefinity components. You should just copy your project folder to the destination machine and set it as a web application. Also you should give full permissions to the ASP.NET user for the ~/App_Data folder.

Don’t hesitate to ask if you come up with other questions.
