    We are trying to install Sitefinity3.7 on an existing web server.
    After install we cannot launch Site manger, it is throwing a configuration error in the browser.
    It is looking for a theme that is part of the Default web site.

    How do you fix it so the manager is independent of the default web site?

    thanks everyone.

    Hello Jorge,

    Can you attach a screenshot of the error you are getting or paste the exact error and its stack.

    I tried this
    9.
    Installing Sitefinity in a Location Other Than Default Website
    By default, the Sitefinity installer creates its virtual folders in the default IIS site, "Default Web Site". If you do not want to install Sitefinity under the Default Web Site, you need to edit the
    MetaBase.xml which is the actual XML file that contains the IIS configuration settings. Here is how to tell the installer to create the virtual directories under a website called "My Test":
    1.
    Open the %SystemRoot%\System32\Inetsrv\MetaBase.xml file and in the respective IIsWebServer element, notice the number similar to the highlighted number below.
    Copy this number. Location ="/LM/W3SVC/859801432"
    <IIsWebServer
    AuthFlags="0" 3‐DE82‐11CF‐BC0A‐00AA006111E0}"
    LogPluginClsid="{FF16066
    ServerAutoStart="TRUE"
    ServerBindings=":8090:"
    ServerComment="M
    y Test"> 2. Open the /telerik/Sitefinity3.x/ProjectManager/Web.Config file and in the ection, add this:
    <appSettings> s<appSettings>
    45
    INSTALLATION GUIDE
    <add key="rootttings>
    SubPath" value="/W3SVC/859801432/Root" />
    </appSe
    3. Save the file. . Restart IIS and create your Sitefinity project.

    But am still getting this error:
    Configuration Error Configuration Error

    Server Error in '/telerik/Sitefinity3.7' Application.

    Hello Jorge,

    can you please try removing the theme="" attribute from the web.config <pages> configuration setting?
