    Hello,

    I have install SiteFinity 3.0.

When I try to browse a test project I got this message :

Parser Error Message: Could not load file or assembly 'Telerik.Framework' or one of its dependencies. Le fichier spécifié est introuvable.

    Source Error:

    Line 78: </eventMappings>
    Line 79: <providers>
    Line 80: <add name="Simple Web Event Provider" type="Telerik.Utilities.TextFileWebEventProvider,Telerik.Framework" logFileName="~/App_Data/sitefinity.log"/>
    Line 81: <add name="Simple Web Buffered Event Provider" type="Telerik.Utilities.BufferedTextFileWebEventProvider,Telerik.Framework" bufferMode="Notification" logFileName="~/App_Data/sitefinity.log"/>
    Line 82: </providers>

I can't find the Telerik.Utilities.* files on the disk.

When I try to add a new projetct, I have this message :

Le chemin d'accès spécifié est introuvable (in french)
Path are not found (so ... in english)

    Thanks for your help

    Jérôme

    Hello Jerome,

Please make sure Telerik.Framework.dll has been copied to your bin folder. Are you able to create new projects with the Project Manager? What is the operating system you are running on?

    Hello Jerome,

It seems your installation did not go well. Did you receive any errors during installation?

Please try to uninstall Sitefinity and delete any folders and files that have left in the installation folder. The default installation folder is C:\Program Files\telerik\Sitefinity3.0.

We recommend you use the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility that is offered by Microsoft to uninstall Sitefinity.

C:\Program Files\telerik\Sitefinity3.0\ProjectManager\EmptyProject\bin folder should contain all the necessary assemblies.

    Greetings,
    Bob

I'm getting the following error similar to jerome.  I am only getting it on pages under a group page. Everything else has worked fine so far.  The Telerik.Framwork.dll is in the /bin folder.

Parser Error Message: Could not load file or assembly 'Telerik.Framework' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.

    Source Error:

    Line 87: </eventMappings>
    Line 88: <providers>
    Line 89: <add name="Simple Web Event Provider" type="Telerik.Utilities.TextFileWebEventProvider,Telerik.Framework" logFileName="~/App_Data/sitefinity.log" />
    Line 90: <add name="Simple Web Buffered Event Provider" type="Telerik.Utilities.BufferedTextFileWebEventProvider,Telerik.Framework" bufferMode="Notification" logFileName="~/App_Data/sitefinity.log" />
    Line 91: </providers>

    Source File: D:\public_html\web.config    Line: 89

Assembly Load Trace: The following information can be helpful to determine why the assembly 'Telerik.Framework' could not be loaded.

WRN: Assembly binding logging is turned OFF.
To enable assembly bind failure logging, set the registry value [HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Fusion!EnableLog] (DWORD) to 1.
Note: There is some performance penalty associated with assembly bind failure logging.
To turn this feature off, remove the registry value [HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Fusion!EnableLog].

    Hi jerome,

Did you try uninstall Sitefinity and remove all files left after the uninstall process ends?

We suppose that the access rights for ASPNET were not set correctly during the installation, or there are old assemblies from a previous installation. To clear up the possible reason, please uninstall Sitefinity, delete all folders under the Sitefinity3.0 directory and reinstall it by leaving all settings unchanged. Please check the following after installation:
    1. You should have administrative privileges on your local machine
    2. Account <yourmachine>\ASPNET have full access rights for Program Files\Common Files\telerik\Sitefinity3.0

Also, is your virtual directory nested inside another? The problem might occur if there are web.configs which are messing up due to the virtual directory hierarchy.

Please, let us know how it goes.

I'm using SiteFinity from a shared server so uninstalling on my machine won't help.  There are no virtual directories on the website and it's installed at the root of the website.  Are there instructions on how to set it up on a shared server where I don't have admin rights?  I plan on copying up the whole thing again but I'm pretty sure I'll still have the same problem.  Again it only happens on pages inside a page group.  Pages at the root work well.

    Hello Kevin,

If you are running Sitefinity in medium trust you should switch off the logging mechanism as it will not work in this environment. Please, try removing the healthMonitoring section element from the web.config and see if the result would be the same. Let us know how it goes.

    Kind regards,

I disabled the health monitor and I got it to work.  I had to create the new directory manually though after I got an error about it not existing.
