    Hi,

We have been using the Standard Edition to create some sites for our clients that have purchased a license, but we also created a site for our own internal uses that we want to use the Community Edition for.  We have already setup the internal site using the Standard Edition so I wanted to know if there is a way to switch between the editions without having to recreate the site.

    Thanks

    Hi Jeff,

You can easily upgrade your site created with the Community Edition. Please follow the steps described in section Upgrading Projects Created with Sitefinity Community to Standard Edition in our User Manual.

Let us know if you need any further assistance.

I am actually looking to do the opposite.  We have a site that was created with Standard but want to use it under the Community Edition.  Instead of an upgrade we want to downgrade the site.

    Hello Jeff,

    Thanks for contacting us.

In this case, you'll need to replace the bin and Sitefinity folders and the Web.config with the ones from the Community Edition. Please login to your Client.net account, click on downloads on the left hand side of the screen, and download the Sitefinity_3_2_1616_community_patch.zip. Replace any files in that download with the ones in your application. Update the Web.config's connection string, as well as any other properties, for the project.

Feel free to contact us if you need further assistance.

    Best wishes,
    Joe
