    Hi,

We have found that when upgrading Sitefinity (E.g. to Sitefinity 3.2 to SP1), we loose all out workflow statuses. Is there any way to prevent this when performing an upgrade?

    Cheers

    Nicko

    Hi Nicko,

Unfortunately, this is a limitation of Sitefinity. We apologize for not including it in the list of known issues.

    Hi Georgi

Is this something that will be fixed in a future release?

    Cheers

    Hello Nicko,

We plan to migrate our workflow engine to Windows Workflow Foundation and this issue will be resolved. We'll adopt this technique within the next major release, scheduled for the beginning of next year.

    Hi Georgi,

OK Thankyou - Is there anything we can do in the mean time? A query or something to prevent us loosing statuses?

    Cheers

    Hello Nicko,

We tried running some queries and change the data directly in the DB, but didn't succeed.

The implementation itself is serializing some objects directly in the database. After upgrade, Sitefinity cannot read the same objects since their version is changed.

At this time, we don't have any other suggestions that might work.

    Georgi
