Sorry but I don't know if DAM really is such a good abreviation.

    Hello Markus,

Well, we all liked Lightning, but the reality is that DAM is now industry standard and well recognized abbreviation for Digital Assets Management software (Wikipedia for example..). We have to stick with it for now :).

    Dear Georgi

When I read Digital Asset Managements I still think about images, videos and stuff and less about CMS from the desktop .

To me Sitfinity Desktop Application - SDA would have made so much more sense.

Anyhow it was just one of those _ _ _ questions :-)

It IS Sitefinity Desktop Application which is ALSO a DAM :)

...before sitefinity implemented asset versioning we went and bought a DAM (specifically looking for 'DAM' and ended up with Alfresco).

(Sidenote: Don't ever bother with alfresco...direct quote from them "Well you're getting the gold support you paid for, it only cost $40,000, if you want better support we can talk the platinum package")
