I have a Dynamic Content Type that contains a field with the new address field type.  I'm trying to edit one of my items using v1.1.0.0 of the Desktop Application, but when I click the "Change" button underneath the Address lat/lng, nothing happens.  I see a loading icon appear next to the Publish button, but it disappears immediately.  I checked the SitefinityDA.log file in AppData\Roaming\Telerik\SitefinityDA, but there's nothing there related to this.  Any ideas?

    Hello Michael,

I am sorry to hear that you experience issues with using the new Address field.
However, we could not reproduce the behavior you have mentioned in the general case.
Would you please provide us with test credentials to your site so we can login and investigate the module's structure and any specifics related to it?

You can open a support ticket to send us safely this information.

Thanks, I've submitted a support ticket on the issue, I will most likely have to zip up my project and DB though, as the site is not a public facing site.  I'll post the results of the support ticket back in this thread for the benefit of the community.

In case anyone's following this thread: Here's Telerik's response:

The reason for that is that we do not support the State selector field shown in Sitefinity when the country is United States as in your case. And this somehow results in a problem when parsing the address information on our side.
Of course, this could happen with any other country which is supposed to have a specific selector for province or whatever additional address information is required.
So, we will consider fixing this as soon as possible and deliver it probably with our December release.

And for the time being, a workaround for this could be simply removing the State from Sitefinity and leaving the field value to Select a state. This will not result in address change. For cities with same names and different state (e.g. Washington), in Sitefinity you can first select the state, find the city address and then remove the state information. From Sitefinity Desktop Application, if you want for example to select Washington in Arkansas, then just type Arkansas, Washington in our City field.
This way you would be able to have identical address information on the map in both places.

So, there is a workaround and the problem should be fixed in the December release.
