What would be awesome is to integrate analytics data (Like Google Analytics) directly into the CMS so that content managers can see metrics as they are manipulating content and be able to see the significance and relevance of that content from within the CMS.

I'm working with the Google Analytics API right now to pull these metrics from Google into the CMS admin pages... But would't it be awesome if this came standard - put in you analytics username and pasword and wahlah...

You could even take this a step further and set pages to AUTO UPDATE keywords properties of pages based on analytics rankings of the keywords... Creating a truely dynamic SEO geared CMS...

    Just me dreaming,

    Duncan

    Hello Duncan,

Thank you for bringing up the idea. We are in process of developing our own tracking and statistics service built in Sitefinity. We cannot commit to a time frame for this. I wonder if we can provide your idea anyway though - we will discuss that.

    Sincerely yours,

    Duncan -

This is a great idea!!!  I wonder how far you have come using the Google API and integration with the Sitefinity admin section!?!?  Want to share what you've done and how?

    Thanks,
    Pat

    Hi Patrick D,

We haven't worked in that are since the request, but it still logged. We are concentrated on the 4.0 release. I will check if we can make a blog post about such integration though.

It would be great if this implementation were provider-based so we could choose our analytics provider and build the provider layer only.  A custom implementation might be just fine, but many of us are using other providers with APIs like Google or GetClicky and may prefer to stick with them.

    Hello Jeff,

This is certainly a good point. Well, Sitefinity will continue to follow the provider model so we will make sure to provide such option for the statistics module.

    Kind regards,
