    Hi,

I would like to suggest an improvement for the upcoming release of Sitefinity. While the external pages support is there, it is still somehow basic. For instance, we cannot have localized versions of external pages in the current version and every external page that we code has to be duplicated per language instead of simply using resource files and have one page.

    Best Regards,

    G

    Hi G-force,

Thanks for your suggestion. The main problem here is that the external pages are physical files ( or live links) that are actually not maintainable through the cms page editor. Sitefinity does not create and cannot create language version for this resource and currently the only way is using resx files. Anyway we we consider your suggestion and try to come up with some solution for Sitefinity 4 version.

    All the best,

    Hi Ivan,

Thank you for your reply, I don't know if i elaborated enough on the problem, but I think it will be great if I can set different links for external pages per language so i don't have to copy the same page into different language folders when using path prefix mode for example. I understand they are physical files and they cannot be controlled by the CMS but with the UrlRewrite through different Urls or additional Urls this might be feasible.

Best Regards and Kudos for the Sitefinity team for the great job you guys are doing
