Would love to be able to insert Generic Content items into a list in Sitefinity.  Essentially, to be able to have "snippets" of content (ie Generic Content) able to drop into any other Generic Content based control (Lists, Events, Blog Posts etc.)

    Hello Christopher,

Thank you for sharing your thoughts. This will be partially possible in Sitefinity 4.0 with the new page editor. We will make some notes though, and will definitely try to come up with something similar!

Thanks once again. Your account has been updated.

    Regards,

So, 4.0 will allow us for example to paste Shared Geeric Content into a cell of a table that is within a larger Generic Content control?

That is something we were currently trying to perform and not having much luck.  I'm glad I saw this post before digging much deeper.

    Hi Andy,

Inserting Generic Content control or shared item into another one would not be possible. If you have a content place holder, you will be able to split it on the fly in let's say 3 parts (zones), and place different control/items in every different zone.

    Sincerely yours,
    Georgi
