    Hi,

Could you think to use the RSS provider for Events to Generate the GeoRSS feeds or KLM files.

Additional : Add one selector for GeoLatitude and GeoLongitude with external link to search the lat, long and copy to the textboxes or create one simple tool to pick-up.

    Regards

    Hi Pierre,

We have this in mind already. We are working on RSS service for the Events module. It will generate RSS but no KML files.
About the additional suggestion you have, we stated in the support thread you opened that such option is already available.

    Hi,

Given that GeoRSS is not KML but is similar to the RSS format do you think it would be a large amount a work to modify or extend the exisiting RSS service some how to output the RSS format below...

The GeoRSS spec if here - http://www.georss.org/

Where would I start? Writing another service or something?

I was thinking of creating a new Generic Content provider adding lat and long meta data fields... If it could then be outputted similar to the way RSS currently works you could show Generic Content on a Google Map... that would be cool! Just another example of how flexible Generic Content could be.

    Thanks,

    Seth

    Hello Seth Cleaver,

Yes, I like this idea. The Generic Content could be even more flexible with all the APIs - you could take the content from the CMS and provide it in the format you would like - RSS, XML, HTML or even KML.

    Best wishes,
    Georgi
