SolarMobile integrates Sitefinity 4 with jQuery Mobile framework. The master page of the template uses standard jQuery Mobile page anatomy and it has only three placeholders – header, content, footer. Because jQuery Mobile has specific markup, external templates should be used for all Sitefinity widgets. The main navigation on the home page uses an external template also. The AJAX links options are set to “true”, but you can override all of the pre-configured settings in the “mobileinit” function on master page.
All of the files needed for jQuery mobile are loaded from the CDN of the jQuerymobile.com (1 CSS and two JS files). If you want to use them from your server download them and replace the paths in the master page.
The template contains external templates for the following widgets:
- Blog posts
- Generic Content
The template is tested with multiple browsers and it supports:
- Android 2.1 native browser
- Firefox mobile under Android 2.1
- Opera Mobile under Android 2.1
- iPhone native browser (Safari) under 3Gs and 4
- iPad native browser (Safari)
Please, refer to the Marketplace Template Installation Guide for instructions on how to set up the template.
