Random Timeouts

  • Posted on Sep 14, 2010 (permalink)

    Hi,

For some reason Sitefinity times me out roughly every hour, and redirects me to the login screen, causing me to lose any content I've been working on etc. This is very annoying and has been happening for a while.

I have full admin privileges, so it shouldn't be anything to do with that.

If anyone knows how to stop this happening please let me know.

    Thanks.
    Paul

    Hi Paul N,

Form what you are saying it looks like that your application pool has been recycled and in this case you are prompted to log in again. You could create a separate application pool under which your website is going to run,  increase the memory limits of the application pool and recycle time.

    Hi Ivan Dimitrov,

Thanks for your suggestion, I changed settings on the AppPool, and it seems to be timing out less frequently now. Thanks again for your help, will let you know it happens again.

    Regards,
    Paul
