ViewState in Sitefinity 2.6 vs 2.7

    Hello,

    We have a site done with Sitefinity 2.6, and the size of the ViewState for even the simplest page in Designer mode is horrendous (>130KB). We haven't had such problems with our Sitefinity 2.7 sites.

    Would you be able to confirm if the bloated ViewState is a known 2.6 issue, and if upgrading the site to 2.7 will fix it?

    Hi Pamela,

    We didn't make any improvements related to the ViewState in v2.7.
    Most probably this issue is related to the user controls placed in the pages. Please, check what kind of controls you have added to the layout or page. You can try to remove some of them to see if the problem persist.

    Have in mind that the page in edit mode has bigger View State than in public mode.

    Also you can send us your project so we will investigate the problem for you.
