  Hi,
  I have a web application that was created with Sitefinity and deployed to production. I am now taking over the development and maintanace of this web application. I have installed Sitefinity on my development machine and now I need to migrate the web application from production into Sitefinity but I don't know how to do this. I don't have access to the old development enviroment that the web application was originally created in.

  Hi Crissy Kibic,
  
  FTP the project files from production to your local machine. Get database backup from the web host. Restore the database on your local/remote database server. Change the connectionString value in your web.config. If you have repository and custom controls you can add the code base there.

  Ok. I copied my website files onto my development machine under the folder C:\Program Files\telerik\Stiefinity2.7\.
  I also created my databases from the backup of production.
  I also changed my web.config file to point to the development server databases.
  
  How do I allow sitefinity to see the website? When I go to Sitefinity Project Manager, I don't see the website listed as one to edit or browse to.

  Hello Crissy Kibic,
  
  You could run the project through its default page from IIS or Visual Studio. If you use 2.x edition which is not supported, you can use the other forum thread that is especially prepared for 2.x edition.

  Yes I am using 2.7. I posted this in the 2.x Installation forum. Is there another forum I should be using?
