SItefinity 2.0

    Hi,

I just successfully upgraded to 2.0. Went really well, AND I'm running on ASP.NET 2.0. I have a request or a question.

Is there a way of only upgrading the database (I'm using SQL Server) to 2.0. It would be really handy for production environments where you want to preserve all the CMS information but replace the application with an already upgraded version that has been converted to ASP.NET 2.0.

I hope this makes sense. I look forward to your advice.

    Hi Bert,

Can you please elaborate a little bit more on your scenario? Are you trying to upgrade only your database, so it can work with Sitefinity v2.0? Do you mean SQL2005 by any chance? Please, be more specific and we will be glad to help you.

    Greetings,

    OK fair enough,

I want to upgrade the database only from Sitefinity 1.1 to 2.0 and it's an SQL Server 2000 database.

    Hello Bert,

Thanks for shedding some more light on the matter.
Unfortunately this is not possible. The converter that comes with Sitefinity 2 converts the whole project only. Currently, there is no way to convert only the database .
If you need any other assistance,we'll gladly provide it.
