Bloated ViewState

    Hi,

    Just working on a sitefinity project and I've noted that the rad designers view state is rather large. up to 40k on most of my pages.

    I tried to disable view state for the designer but that didn;t work very well at all.

    Can some one please advise if this is normal and if so is there a way to minimise this?

    Hello Bert,

    We know about this flaw in Sitefinity, however the designer's view state itself should not be so large. You can do a test by creating an empty page and then check its ViewState size. I have just did it and it is about 7K. When you put controls on the page its ViewState increases, of course.

    For now there is no way to minimize it but we have planned to improve implementation in order to decrease ViewState.
