Timeout Errors

    Hi guys,

    We have just pulled back a site from the client's server and started getting this error when we try running it on Localhost.

    Server Error in '/' Application.

    Timeout expired.  The timeout period elapsed prior to completion of the operation or the server is not responding.

    Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. Please review the stack trace for more information about the error and where it originated in the code. 

    Exception Details: System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException: Timeout expired.  The timeout period elapsed prior to completion of the operation or the server is not responding.

    Source Error:

    This has never happened before to us and nothing we seem to be doing is solving this issue. I see there was another post similar to this one but that one was never resolved.

    Hello James@Nw,

    The error says that the connection to your database server could not be open. Here is where the code fails:

    SQLDataProvider.Open()

    It is possible that the database server is not accessible. I see that this is done right after application restart when the services are initialized.
