In the past week, we have lost the connection to our Sitefinity database twice.  Is there anything that we should check for this?

    Hi Bart Welch,

Sitefinity works as each other standard ASP.NET application. Most probably you SQL server goes down. You could try to increase the connection string timeout property value, but if the server is down this will not help. You should ensure that your host offer 99% up time.

    Hi Bart Welch,

Could you elaborate how the connection was lost, when the SQL server was running?
