    Is the "powered by Sitefinity" image and link supposed to go away with the license key in place? If so, I have tried placing my LicenseFile.xml in both the web site\Sitefinity folder and the app_data folder with a change to the web.config. But neither got rid of the image and link. Why?

    BTW: this is pretty critical for me as I have to hand a URl to a client by 5:00PM EST today... thanks

    Hello Nora Colliton,

    You need to patch your project to the Standard edition. There are functional differences in the code. You can download the Standard Editor patch from your account >> Downloads section. You can gather more information at Upgrade Instructions.

    What is the exact name of the patch? The items I see in the download folders look more lile full kits... thanks

    Hi Nora Colliton,

    You have to use one of the following archives depending on the .NET version aginst which you can download from your account (Your Account  /  Downloads  /  Sitefinity Standard Edition).

    Note that you have to path your project only in case you using community edition where powered by Sitefinity logo appears on each page.

    # Standard edition hotfix for .NET 2.0   (zip, 13 MB)
    # Standard edition patch for .NET 3.5 (zip, 13 MB)

    I checked your account and it tuned out that you had a license key generated for a standard edition website which is actually hosted online. On this website the license key is correctly accessed and you should not get a trial message " Your are running a trial version of Sitefinity"

    In the patch instructions it says go to the "administration area" to start the search indexes. Where is the administration area? thanks

    I have gone as far as the Admin.search step in the upgrade instructions. I can open Project Manager, but when I try to edit the project, I get this:

    Hello Nora Colliton,

    Most probably you are running the website in medium trust where workflow cannot work or not all dlls in your bin are replaced with this one from the patch. Make sure that the web.config has been merged properly. More information about how to configure your website to work in medium trust can be found at medium trust.

    I presume your attached pic is of Project Manager. I don't see those options in mine.. See attached... Why?

    Here's where I went wrong: When I read "Here are the changes to the web.config since the 3.7 version of Sitefinity:". I interpreted that to say this was the entire set of changes. Wrong! It was only an example as far as I can tell.. Yes, a full file compare is needed. And to add to the joy, one config uses " />" and the other uses "/>"!

    I still would appreciate an answer on why I'm not seeing the administration button in PM. thank you.



    . Compare your original project web.config file to the new_web.config file from the archive. Change your original web.config to reflect the changes introduced in the latest Sitefinity version. You can use any comparison tool you like.
    Here are the changes to the web.config since the 3.7 version of Sitefinity:

    Hi Nora Colliton,

    The screenshot is from Sitefinity backend. It is not from the ProjectManager. You do not have to install the Project Manager when upgrading a project.
