Sitefinity crashing IIS7 under load

    Hi

We are experiencing a very odd problem with Sitefinity 3.6 running on Windows 2008 / IIS 7.5.

Recently we have been doing some load testing and have noticed that IIS 7.5 will cease to serve pages when hit with around 1500 requests. No errors have been written to the Sitefinity log nor to our custom error logs which log any exception raised within the site.

Having looked at the server we notice there are lots of connections being made to the loopback address on port 80. The memory usage on the IIS worker process also also goes through the roof.

The only way we can resolve this currently is to restart IIS, having searched both the forums and google I am struggling to find any information on what might be the cause of these issues so any help would be much appreciated.

    Hi Brin,

There are performance optimizations in 3.7 SP3 and 3.7 SP4 related to pages and users. I suggest that you should upgrade your project.

    All the best,
