  Hi, I'm installing the Community version 3.7 on XP to see what SiteFinity is all about & get the error: Unable to create the virtual directory: Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation. Is there a document that details permissions? Thx ... c

  Hello Chris Dumper,
  
  The problem seems to be related to theIIS. The Project Manager impersonates the ASPNET account as the currently logged user. Please check in the top right corner of the Project Manager screen what account is being used at the moment. This user should be granted full permissions to the WebSites folder. The ASP.NET machine account should also have full permissions to this folder.
  
  You could also try using Blank project.There are no functional differences between the blank project and executable. You may find this posts useful.

  Hi Ivan, thanks for helping. I deleted the previouis failed install & reinstalled as a local admin. i've checked & ASP_NET has full permissions to the ../ProjectManager & /WebSites folders however when I go to Programs, Telerik, SiteFinity Communuity, & click on SiteFinity Community 3.7 it just brings up

  Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage

  What am i missing. Permissions to /ProjectManage & /Websites are as follows:
  
  Administrators - full
  ASP_NET - full
  Creator Owner - special
  Me - full
  Power Users - Modify
  System - full
  Users - read, list, write

  Is your IIS server running? Can you attach the project to Visual Studio and try to run it from its built-in web server?
