    Hi

I've noticed you cant change the page name for different languages (only menu label etc)
This is obviously a problem for SEO, is there anyway around this?

    Thanks

    Hello Quade,

Unfortunately this is the case at the moment. We are not able to provide you with a workaround. Perhaps you can separate your different languages in different page groups, this should do the trick.

    Hi Quade,

We are using the page name, respectively the URLs generated as identifiers in the sitemap, in the cache dictionaries and many other places. This is the reason why we cannot provide you with a workaround.

We will consider this feedback though for our future releases.

    All the best,

    Hello,

I just noticed this limitation as well and found this thread.

As a temporary workaround, one could think of adding additional urls to pages in page properties - an appropriate one for each language - and modify the SiteMenu User Control (and other navigation controls used) to pick the right one (maybe using a db table for storing the lookup {Main file name => localized file name}).
Or, one could implement a custom sitemap provider which does the job in a more central place.
    Maybe this will help somebody..

I don't need the feature as urgently yet, so my question to the the Telerik support is:
Will Sitefinity 4.0 offer the possibility to localize file names out of the box?

    Kind regards,
    Florian

We will support different Page Names depending on the culture from version 4.0. Currently you can use the suggested workarounds.
