  Hi Team,

  There was an error trying to connect to the Database Server:
  Timeout expired. The timeout period elapsed prior to completion of the operation or the server is not responding.

  
  

  Set Database

  Which database would you like to use?

  1. SqlExpress
  2. SqlServer2000
  3. SQL Server 2005 / 2008
  4. Oracle
  5. MySQL

  SQL Server connection properties

  Windows Authentication

  1. Server:
  2. Port:
  3. Database:

  
  

  Please help me in this issue

  Hello Rosy,
  
  There seems to be a problem with your SQL server.  It is not up or you cannot access it. You could take a look at this article Troubleshooting: Timeout Expired and try to narrow down the problem. You could also create a simple page in another ASP.NET web application and use SqlConnect to try the connection.
