Directory path stored in files or database (moving to a new server)?

I would like to move a Sitefinity project from one server to another. The new server stores its website in a totally different location and even drive letter. Where do I have to change the site's directory path in Sitefinity? Is it stored anywhere in the files or database.. in a config somewhere? Thanks for any help.

    Hi bemara57,

If you are using versions since 3.5 you should not worry about url paths, because we use dynamic links and we get only the relative path which does not include the name of your host. If you are using an older version you could have problem with some of the links. You may find the following post useful - Replace Tool

But when I hit the project manager (http://localhost/telerik/Sitefinity3.7/), the projects don't show up in the project list anymore.  And when I move them back, they show up again in the list.

    Hi Jay,

The project manager is looking for project located in its WebSites directory. Typically this would be C:\Program Files\telerik\Sitefinity3.7\WebSites. However this does not mean that when you move to production the project will break. All Sitefinity websites are standalone applications and can run without project manager and their back-end can be accessed without the project manager. All paths and links created by Sitefinity are dynamic and would automatically resolve if you move to another environment.
