Hello all,

Sitefinity team is happy to announce the release of Sitefinity 3.7 SP3 which is now available for download in your accounts.
This service release provides new features, improves the pages and libraries performance, and fixes a number of issues reported by you.

Here is the full list of changes, improvements and bug fixes:

- Fixed problem with external and group paging showing in navigation even though such language version of the page doesn’t exist
- Fixed problem in ContentView control pager related to generating valid HTML
- Fixed bug in the password answer verification functionality

Thank you for using our services.

For the new features in Images & Documents module you can consult the following KB article: How to enable the Files provider for Images and Documents module in Sitefinity 3.7 SP3.

We have had reports that the Dashboard and Pages sections in the administration area are loading slow when the Site Map contained a large amount of pages. This has been fixed as we have optimized the loading of pages.

We have also added search for pages by Title, Name or URL withing the administration par, as in attached image. This is the new search feature.

This is a big update. Thank you for going to Q1 RadControls.
I was looking for something on the blogs and just happend to login and see sp3.

Great work!

Pages Administration performance now is so fast! But why you did nothing with Categories View performance in Administration? I have wrote on forum about bad performance and after all Ivan Dimitrov wrote great post: http://www.sitefinity.com/blogs/ivandimitrov/ivanposts/10-02-15/optimize_backend_categoriesview_performance_in_sitefinity_3_7.aspx

But in Sitefinity 3.7 SP3 categories works so badly as in Sitefinity 3.7 SP2. When do you want to fix this problem?

Hello Paul,

As you can see we are trying to make some new implementations and improvements from the 3.x versions. We will keep fixing some of the bugs and provide extended support for 3.x in the next SP. Performance issues related to some backend parts( pages, categories, tags etc) will be completely sorted in Sitefinity version 4.0.

Hi,

I upgraded our site to 3.7 SP3, from 3.7 (no SP), and then a custom contact us control stopped working, and showed the following error:

Could not load file or assembly 'Telerik.Cms.Web.UI, Version=3.7.1990.2, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=dfeaee0e3978ac79' or one of its dependencies. The located assembly's manifest definition does not match the assembly reference. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80131040)

Any ideas on what the problem is or how to resolve it?

You have to open the web site in Visual Studio and rebuild it. The custom controls and modules should be rebuilt, since they are now referencing old assemblies.

Sitefinity supports all RadControls. There should not be a problem to uploaded them or register them in your web.conig <toolboxControls> section.

Just to confirm as i am beginner. Please let me know that for the user controls developed in visual studio we want to use it in the Sitefinity. So, for this case should be register the teleric controls only or the User control only or both. Please tell me. Also If you provide some link for the specifications for this, I will be thankful to you.

I am just craeting an event and using live search map ,it shows the location after sending longitude and latitude information ,Please let me know that data of map information saved in data base or not , if yes then where it saved.
also want to now how to use google map, if there is any link regarding that Please send me.

You can set the Google Map key in your web.config

<events defaultGenericProvider="Events" googleMapsAPIKey .....

The Geomapping data is stored inside [sf_GCMetaData] table

SELECT *

FROM [CMDEV3].[dbo].[sf_GCMetaData]

where Application = '/Events' and KeyValue = 'Geomapping_Data'

Hello mukesh,

The build-in control works only with one location.

1. You need to add custom metakeys where you will store your multiple locations

2. You have to create a custom control that inherits from EventsView. Override SetItemMetadata and call a custom method which you will use to draw your map and pass the metakey values

3. There are limitations by Google API for multiple points, but you can take a look at
- The Google Elevation API
- Static Maps API

Hi mukesh,

You have to create a custom control that inherits from EventsView. Override SetItemMetadata and call a custom method which you will use to draw your map and pass the metakey values

You have to reference the external Google Maps scripts and choose which method you will use.

You can access the IContent object directly from SetItemMetadata method where the IContent item is parameter. Then you can call GetMetaData method for your custom key and return the values that will be used for latitude and Longitude

i am using treeview in combo box, add tree node dynamically from cs file, after that add nodeclick event in which i want to set node value to conbo box selected value.for thisi do this code

Community Edition has been discontinued and it is not distributable anymore. You can contact our sales department and ask them if it is possible to enable download slot for your account.

If this is a custom edit form, you can handle the ItemDataBound event of the grid to access the controls in edit form. Here is a sample code

Hi,

Thanks for response,as you suggested i used it but it does not find control , it always return null.Can you put it in more detail. i also want to know can it possible controls like list box city with checked boxes in edit templates is fill by data from table city and click on edit list check boxes checked according to city that is in selected edit row.

I have downloaded the CE from the Microsoft WPI, which supposedly is SP3, but the zip says SP1. In any case, the version says 3.7.2022.5. I have it set up and working, but I need to integrate a form builder, and the one I got a link to from your site requires a higher version of Sitefinity. One version specifically is 3.7.2096.3. I know you guys don't support the CE anymore, but is there any way you guys can leave the existing ones out for downloading, or at least post the specific version I am looking for to my account? I would really like to be able to integrate this form builder into my website.

I have the same issue that Anthony had. I am using the Community Edition (3.7.2022.5) of Sitefinity, and I purchased the FormBuilder from Falafel. I cannot use the FormBuilder because it requires a higher version than what I am using. What are my options?

It seems that the only edition available is Sitefinity 4. I don't really want to upgrade to 4. How would one go about getting Sitefinity 3.7 SP3?
