Cannot display the webpage

    Hi,
    I downloaded Sitefinity_3_7_2057_standard_trial_NET20.exe and installed in my local computer. After installing, I got this message in IE 'Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage' when launching Project Manager. 

    I am using XP Pro, IIS 5.1, and IE 8.0.

    I tried this. I opened IIS and check the 'Anonymous access' check box. Now I can open Project Manager page but I can not create a new project. I think the 'Anonymous access' checkbox is supposed to be clear. Please help me open Project Manager.

    Hi Woo Joon Jeong,

    Most probably the application is prevented from running on your IIS Web Server. Make sure that your IIS is up and running when the ProjectManager is trying to open its default page.
    Also:
    1. Open IIS, expand the master server node (that is the Servername node), and then select the Web Service Extensions node.
    2. In the right pane, right-click ASP.NET v2.0.50727.
    3. Click Allow.

    Hi Ivan,

    Thank you for your answer. The IIS is working fine because I have been developing many web applications so far and I don't think 'Web Service Extensions' exists in IIS 5.1.

    As I told you, when I check the 'Anonymous access' check box in IIS and I can open Project Manager but I can not create a new project. When I clear the 'Anonymous access' check box then I can not open Project Manager. I think I gotta do something in User security. I also tried to add a user ASPNET and gave Full Control but still not working. Give me some clue. It's urgent.

    Hi Woo Joon Jeong,

    You could try installing a Blank Project manually. Unfortunately the message Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage does not provide any information what could be the exact reason for your issue.

    Hey Woo Joon Jeong,

    Do you recall your solution/ 

    I am running win 7 (64-bit).  I get to the point where I can attach to a database and I have reviewed security over and over and can't get it to connect to the DB I created.  I tried following this to the letter and I am stuck at the last step!
