Sitefinity 4.0 release date ??

    Hi,

    We've been using Sitefinity 3.6 in 1 or 2 of our recent projects but mostly 3.5 SP1, we have a internal Master CMS based on Sitefinity 3.5 SP1 and some custom controls we built in-house, we would now like to upgrade this to the latest release of Sitefinity, since 4.0 is round the corner we'd like to go for that depending on when it is released, can you please give us a timeframe as soon as possible ?

    Hello Zubair,

    Thank you for using our services.

    We are going to release a beta version of Sitefinity 4.0 at the middle of October and then we will announce the official release. I suggest that you should upgrade to the forth coming 3.6 SP3 firstly before the jump to 4.0

    Hi Telerik -

    Our company, like many others, is very interested in being part of the beta group for Sitefinity 4.0, specifically bc our current client needs a form-builder in their CMS!

    Please include us in the beta group, thank you...

    Hello BC,

    The beta version will be available for downloading from all accounts. You will not be required to have a license key. We have plans to release the beta in the middle of October as written is one of the posts above.

    Hi Ivan,

    I will be starting a new project next month and I would like to use sitefinity.  I plan to start with 3.7 and convert later to 4.0 when it finally becomes available.  Is there a list of new features for 4.0?  So far all I know it is it uses OpenAccess ORM and is not MVC based.  Will there be a simple & automated conversion from 3.7 to 4.0? 

    Thanks for any info you can provide.

    Hi John,

    You can take a look at our RoadMap for some of the main features that we are going to ship with 4.0. There will be wrappers that will help code transferring from 3.7 to 4.0. The there will not be a problem with the database transfer.

    Will 4.0 be in .NET 3.5 / 4.0? will it support 2.0?

    I'm trying to push for us to release SiteFinity 3.X in .NET 3.5 but my managers don't see a benifit to it.
