Creating form widgets
Creating form widgets
You can create a form widget in your Sitefinity web application or class library.
To do this, perform the following:
Select the folder where you want to put your form widget,
Open its context menu and click
Add
»
New Item…
In the left pane, select
Sitefinity
and in the central pane, select
Sitefinity Form Widget with Designer
.
The generated widget is automatically registered in the toolboxes configuration in your Sitefinity project. The widget is added with a designer.
Build your solution.
Open Sitefinity backend and create a new form or open an existing one.
The new widget is displayed in your toolbox.
To change the title of the widget, add it to the form and click the
Edit
button in the upper-right corner of the widget.
Change the value of
Title
field.
By default the title of the widget is the name of its class.
The new form widget’s value is the text that is entered in its text box. The default value of the text box is the full name of the current user.
