Define products and other parameters

PREREQUISITES: You have entered the country and the ZIP code where the products are shipped from. For more information, see Store settings.

After you have created the products, shipping and payment methods, you can proceed to Setting up the ecommerce pages.

• Create products
  Use this section to create the products in your store, define their properties, such as price or weight, upload images, etc.
• Create product types
  Use this section to create different product types. Different types are useful because they have different fields. For example, a book has an author, but a kitchen appliance does not.
• Create product attributes
  Product attributes are additional characteristics of a product. For example product attributes can be size and color.
• Create departments
  You use departments to structure your online store and facilitate your customers in finding what they need. You use departments when you need to create a hierarchical structure of your store.
• Create shipping methods
  Use this section to define the shipping methods and prices that will be displayed to your customers. 
• Create payment methods
  Use this section to define the payment methods that would be available to your customers.
• Define taxes
  Use this section to define all kind of taxes that are applied to the products you are selling.
• Create discounts
  Use this section to create discounts, such as Christmas or summer discounts.
