Creating departments
You use departments to structure your online store and facilitate your customers in finding what they need. You use departments when you need to create a hierarchical structure of your store.
EXAMPLE: You can create a department called Books, which has sub-departments Fiction and Nonfiction. In sub-department Fiction, you can create two sub-departments – Crime and Fantasy.
You manage the departments of your store on the Departments page.
To open the Departments page, in the main menu in the upper part of the screen, click Ecommerce » Departments.
The Departments page appears, displaying a list of all created departments together with actions you can perform on them.
Use this page to create, edit, and manage different departments.

Assigning products to departments
After you have created your departments, you must assign products to them. You can assign products to departments when you are creating a new product or editing and existing one.
Translating departments
You can translate your departments in different languages. For more information, see Translating content items and classifications.
Displaying departments on your website
To display a tree of departments on your website, you must use the
Departments widget and you must configure it.
