Configuring Sage Pay payment processor
If when
creating a payment method, as payment processor you have chosen
SagePay for processing payments for your online store, you must first make a test configuration and, after you have successfully tested SagePay transactions, you can switch to the live configuration. Perform the following procedures:
Setup test configuration
- Sign up at http://www.sagepay.com/developers/sign_up and complete the registration procedure.
Remember your Vendor ID. - On Create a payment method page, select the credit card(s) that you are going to accept.
- Select Test radio button.
- In URL input field, enter https://test.sagepay.com/Simulator/VSPDirectGateway.asp.
- In Vendor, enter the Vendor ID, provided by SagePay.
- In Timeout, enter 30000.
- Go back to Creating a new payment method » Step 7.
- Login to SagePay test simulator at https://test.sagepay.com/simulator.
- In Account Administration section, list the IP addresses for the test and live servers that will be submitting transactions.
Setup live configuration
After you have tested how SagePro works and you want to move your website to production, you must configure the SagePay to work in live mode. To do this, in
Step 3, select
Live and in
Step 4, enter
https://live.sagepay.com/gateway/service/vspdirect-register.vsp.
To use SagePay you need to also have a merchant account. To sign up for a merchant account, go to
http://www.sagepay.com.
