Creating tax classes

You need to create tax classes, if one tax has different value for different goods or services. For example, in a particular country, you can have different than the standard VAT applied to books or drugs.

1. Open Tax Classes page by clicking Ecommerce » Tax Classes.
2. On Tax Classes page perform one of the following:
   • If you have not defined any tax classes, the system displays the following in the center of the screen:

     

   • If you have already defined one or more tax classes, the system displays a list of all created classes and the following button in the toolbar of Tax Classes page:

     

3. Click Create a tax class.
   The Create a Tax class page appears.
4. In the Tax class input field, enter a name for the tax.
   For example, enter Drugs or enter Books.
5. Click Create this tax class button.
   The tax class is created and you can apply it to taxes. For more information, see Creating a new tax.
