Tax

To configure the how taxes will be displayed, perform the following:

  1. In the main menu, click Ecommerce » Configuration » Tax.
    The Tax page appears.
  2. Choose one of the following:
    • Excluding tax
      Tax is included on checkout.
      For example, you entered a price of 100 for a product, the price displayed in the product list is 100, the price displayed during checkout is 120 (100 + 20 tax).
    • Including tax automatically
      For example, you entered a price of 100 for a product, the price displayed in the product list is 120 (100 + 20 tax), the price displayed during checkout is 120 (100 + 20 tax).
      In the dropdown box, select which of the created taxes to include in the price.
    • Including tax manually
      Prices are entered including tax.
      For example, you entered a price of 120 for a product, the price displayed in the product list is 120, the price displayed during checkout is 120 (100 + 20 tax).
      In the dropdown box, select which of the created taxes to use in the calculation.
  3. Click Save.

Measurement units

To configure the measurement units of products, perform the following:
  1. In the main menu, click Ecommerce » Configuration » Measurement units.
    The Store Settings page appears.
  2. In Mass Unit dropdown box, select how you are going to measure the weight of the products.
  3. In Length Unit dropdown box, select how you are going to measure the dimensions of the products.
  4. When finished, click Save.

Currency and location

You configure advanced e-commerce settings in the following way:
  1. In the main menu, click Ecommerce » Configuration » Currency and Location.
    The Settings page appears.
  2. Configure the following:
  3. Field  Description 
    DefaultCurrencyConfig Enter the currency for the price of your products. This currency will be displayed when you create a product and on the public side of the website.
    You must enter the ISO- 4217 code of the currency. For example, EUR or USD.
    DefaultMassUnitConfig Enter the default unit, in which your products will be weighted. You can change the default unit in Measurement units.
    DefaultLengthUnitConfig Enter the default unit, in which your products dimensions will be measured. You can change the default unit in Measurement units.
    TaxDisplayModeConfig This is the tax display mode defined in Tax above.
    TaxToDisplayInPriceConfig This is the type of tax used in tax calculation, selected in Tax above.
    SaveCreditCardNumberInDatabase If you select this checkbox, the customer's credit card will be saved encrypted in the OrderPayment table. If false, the credit card number field will be left blank. We recommend selecting the checkbox, only if you cannot charge the credit card immediately, because the shipments take a number of days (or more). In this case, you will need the credit card number in the database, so that you can charge the card when the shipment is delivered.

    This checkbox is deselected by default.

    BypassPaymentProcessing Select this checkbox, only if you want to test the checkout process without using a payment processor. This way you do not have to configure a payment processor, such as Authorize.Net or PayPal Payflow Pro.
    ShippingFromCountryConfig Enter the ISO code of the country from which your products will be shipped.
    For example, US or DE.
    This setting is required for the Checkout widget to work properly. Without the country of shipping, the shipping costs cannot be calculated.
    ShippingFromStateProvinceConfig If the ShippingFromCountry is not US, leave this field blank. Otherwise enter the sate code.
    ShippingFromZipConfig Enter the ZIP code of the place from which your products will be shipped.
    This setting is required for the Checkout widget to work properly. Without the ZIP, the shipping costs cannot be calculated.
    StoreNameConfig Enter the name of the store.
    MerchantEmail Enter the email that will be used to send email from the merchant.

  4. To define which units of measurement and currencies are supported by your e-commerce, perform the following:
    • To define the supported currencies, click Ecommerce » SupportedCurrenciesConfig.
      A list of the ISO codes of all supported currencies appears.
      1. To add a new supported currency, click Create new.
      2. In Name input field, enter the ISO- 4217 code of the currency.
        For example, enter CAD.
      3. In Title input field, enter the name of the currency.
        For example, enter Canadian Dollar.
      4. In Culture input field, enter if this is a specific culture.
        For example, enter en-ca.
      5. Click Save changes.
        The new currency is added to the list of supported currencies.
      6. To delete a currency, click (Remove) of the respective currency.
        A dialog box appears where you must confirm the deletion.
    • To define the supported countries, click Ecommerce » SupportedCountriesConfig
      A list of the country codes of all supported countries appears.
      1. To add a new supported country, click Create new.
      2. In Name input field, enter the name of the currency.
        For example, enter Canada.
      3. In IsoCode input field, enter the country code.
        For example, enter CA.
      4. In Culture input field, enter if this is a specific culture.
        For example, enter en-ca.
      5. In CurrencyName input field, enter the name of the currency used in the country.
        For example, Canadian Dollar.
      6. In CurrencyIsoCode input field, enter the ISO- 4217 code of the currency.
        For example, enter CAD.
      7. In CurrencyIsoNumericCode input field, enter the ISO numeric code of the currency.
        For example, for the Canadian Dollar, the numeric ISO code is 124.
      8. To activate or deactivate the use of this country, select or deselect CountryIsActive checkbox.
      9. Click Save changes.
        The new country is added to the list of supported currencies.
      10. To delete a country, click  (Remove) of the respective country.
        A dialog box appears where you must confirm the deletion.
    • To define the supported units for measuring products weight, click Ecommerce »  SupportedMassUnitsConfig.
      A list of all supported units of measurement appears.
      1. To add a new supported unit, click Create new.
      2. In Abbreviation input field, enter the abbreviation of the unit.
        For example, enter kg.
      3. In Title input field, enter the name of the unit.
        For example, enter kilograms.
      4. Click Save changes.
        The new unit is added to the list of supported units and is also added to the Mass Unit dropdown box in Measurement units.
      5. To delete a unit of measurement, click  (Remove) of the respective unit.
        A dialog box appears where you must confirm the deletion.
    • To define the supported units for measuring dimensions, click Ecommerce »  SupportedLengthUnitsConfig.
      A list of all supported units of measurement appears.
      1. To add a new supported unit, click Create new.
      2. In Abbreviation input field, enter the abbreviation of the unit.
        For example, enter m.
      3. In Title input field, enter the name of the unit.
        For example, enter meter.
      4. Click Save changes.
        The new unit is added to the list of supported units and is also added to the Length Unit dropdown box in Measurement units.
      5. To delete a unit of measurement, click  (Remove) of the respective unit.
        A dialog box appears where you must confirm the deletion.
  5. Click Save changes.
