Editing widget templates

After installing Sitefinity Thunder extension, refresh the connection and make sure that the site is running. Then, in Sitefinity Explorer window, all widget templates appear, grouped in areas and ordered alphabetically. There may be widget templates with the same name, but with different markup.
To open the widget template for editing, perform the following:

Double-click the template.
The Visual Studio editor opens.
When you open a widget template, the Visual Studio toolbox is automatically populated with two new tabs corresponding to the tabs in Sitefinity – Common Data and Other Data.

Under each tab you can find the properties that are applicable to the currently opened template, based on its type. If the templates are not associated with any types, the toolbox is empty.
Use drag-and-drop to add properties from the toolbox to the widget template.

NOTE: You can use IntelliSense to easily find the property you want, when binding your markup.
To open Sitefinity IntelliSense, press CTRL+SPACE, when your cursor is between the following quotes Eval(“”)
Save the template.
The template is uploaded to your Sitefinity project.

Renaming widget templates

To rename a widget template, perform the following:

Open Sitefinity Explorer by clicking Telerik » Sitefinity Thunder » Show Sitefinity Explorer.
Open the context menu of the widget template which you want to rename and click Rename.
Enter the new name and press ENTER.

Deleting widget templates

To delete a widget template, perform the following:

Open Sitefinity Explorer by clicking Telerik » Sitefinity Thunder » Show Sitefinity Explorer.
Open the context menu of the widget template which you want to delete and click Delete.
Confirm the deletion.
