Editing a custom content item
Editing, approving, and publishing the content of a custom content item
- On your custom module’s page open the custom item for editing in one of the following ways:
- Click the item you want to edit.
- Click the Actions link of the respective item.
From the dropdown list, click Content.
- NOTE: In the right of the page you can see the current status of the item that you have opened for editing. You can also see the author, the time and date of the last update, the publication date, and a link to all existing versions of the item.
- Edit the field that you want.
- When you are finished, perform one of the following:
- If you have opened for editing an item in status Draft, Unpublished, or Rejected, perform procedure Managing a page or content item that is Draft, Unpublished, or Rejected.
- If you have opened for approving an item in status Awaiting approval, perform procedure Managing a page or content item that is Awaiting approval.
- If you have opened for publishing an item in status Awaiting publishing, perform procedure Managing a page or content item that is Awaiting publishing.
- If you have opened for editing an item in status Published or Scheduled, perform procedures Managing a page or content item that is Published or Managing a page or content item that is Scheduled respectively.
If you are editing a published item, the system saves a draft of that item, but the published version is still visible on the webpage. To see which version is the currently published one, see Revision History.
Deleting a custom content item
You can delete an item in the following ways:

On your custom module’s page, select one or more items and click Delete button in the toolbar.

On your custom module’s page, click the Actions link of the respective item.
From the dropdown list, click Delete.

When you edit an item, click More actions » Delete.
A dialog box appears where you must confirm the deletion.
