Create a Widget with Sitefinity Thunder

Before you begin, you must install Sitefinity Thunder. For more information, see Installing and Using Sitefinity Thunder.

Creating a Widget

1. Open your Sitefinity solution in Visual Studio
2. Add an Item to your Sitefinity website project.
   For more information, see How to: Add New Project Items (MSDN)
3. In the Add New Item dialog, select Sitefinity on the left, then choose Sitefinity Widget with Designer.
4. Name your widget and click Add.

Sitefinity creates the widget control and all supporting files including the widget designer and javascript file. Be sure to Build your project in order to use the new widget.
