Sitefinity provides the Generic Content module for managing content (see Generic Content Overview ). There are also modules that are based on Generic Content in order to use already built-in functionality for managing specific content. These are:

 

Modules based on Generic Content could be extended in many ways. All following scenarios are applicable to each one of the Generic Content based modules:

 

The News module could be extended to have types of attachments which are custom-defined. This is achieved by Adding Custom Meta Fields to the module.
