    hello Gene

    I believe the version number 3.7.2057.220 is for .NET fw 2.0. The ContactUs control is compiled for .NET 3.5. This assembly should have version 3.7.2057.2

    2008 server "and I set it up with a gmail email account,
    is this possible?. In the basic configuration of control in
    I have mail_Host email_from smtp.gmail.com and micuenta@gmail.com. Y
    in the configuration of IIS 7 I have the same data. But when
    send an email from the page using the presented control me
    folowing error "The SMTP server requires a secure connection or the

    The full version of the control was provided as freeware and we don't support asp.net 2.0 just 3.5 at this stage and Sitefinity Versions 3.7, 3.7 SP1, 3.7 SP2,  3.7 SP3.

    With regard to your request Oscar, I would suggest you check the SMTP settings in your web.config file are set correctly and you can send an email with these from a mail application.  Gmail also might use a specific port, so ensure you find this out.

    The Contact Us Control simply sends mail as per these SMTP settings in the web.config:

      <system.net>
        <mailSettings>
          <smtp from="mailmaster@yourdomain.com">
            <network host="smtp.yourdomain.com" userName="YourUsername" password="YourPassword" port="25" />
          </smtp>
        </mailSettings>

    Does anyone know if this form works on a GoDaddy shared server? I'm using version  content="Sitefinity 3.7.2022.5".

    This for this form module. It works great. The only thing is that I'd like to change Surname to Last Name and Organisation to Organization.

    Besides that, I wish I could customize the form more by rearranging the order width of fields for example.

    Brenda the form can be customized into any language or wording you wish using the included Regional Descriptions Zip File (this contains a resource file with each label that can be modified and a satellite dll), information on implementing this can be found at Sitefinity.

    Glenfield, Thanks for the info. I found the Zip File and instructions. I tried to follow your instructions but after about an hour I gave up as they are too complicated. I tried opening Visual Studio and following the instructions but I am not a programmer and nothing seemed to work out. Even if it had, your instructions don't say what to do with the results (where to put it, what file to put, or how to put it there). Plus I never could get anything to save into my Resources folder the instructions said to make.

    Brenda we will get some better instructions into the zip and look to make a US version that is easy to install. Will let you know when this is available here.

    Hi Guys

    This compatible with V4 with SP1 ?

    Currently there is no version of the Contact Us Form Builder for Sitefinity V4.  Note: SF4 Standard, Professional and Enterprise are released with a Form Builder module included. We may consider releasing a version of our control for Community and Small Business Editions, however this would not be free of charge as like the Contact Us Form Builder for Sitefinity 3.7.

    I have read the Compatibility list, but want to ask anyways, would  this module work with Version 3.5?
  • Glenfield Creative 04 Apr 2011

    No 3.5 support, just 3.7.

    Hi, I would love to use this control with my SF Community 3.7SP4 site but when I add it to the config.sys, I loose access to the other standard controls and the Glenfield . One other time I could see the form in the 'Add Control' area but it has an error message instead of the control. I'm using .net 4, Vista, Expression Developement Server and SQL Express. Any help would be very greatful. Thank you.

    Dennis the Contact Us Form Builder is supplied as is and we can't unfortunately provide free support, you should be adding the code below to the <toolboxControls> section of the web.config in the root of your website (not the "config.sys"):

       <add name="Contact Us" section="Glenfield Controls" type="Glenfield.Libraries.ContactUsControls.ContactUs, Glenfield.Libraries.ContactUsControls" description="Displays Contact Us fields!" />

    Furthermore you need to ensure you copy the correct Contact Us Form Builder dll to your Sitefinity website bin folder for the Community version and your website is upgraded to Sitefinity 3.7 Service Pack 4 running .net framework 3.5.  4.0 is not supported.

    Thank you. Woops, I ment web.config not config.sys. I was hopeful it would work in 3.7 SP4 as well and many apps work in asp.net 3.5 as well as 4 and I don't want to downgrade my asp.net version, but nevermind. My intention is to purchase a form control but would be good to test first with a free version.

    Works in 3.7 SP4 ASP.NET 3.5 Dennis.  As we provided this app free of charge we have not created a Framework 4.0 version, nor a version for Sitefinity 4.0 Community or Small Business which lacks the inbuilt form builder from Telerik.  We may consider this in future.

    Thank you, yes I understand it is hard to make a profit when giving away for free. I did like the opton to pay to upgrade from the free version to the paid one but now that 3.7 is retired and no more CE it would unfortunatly deter from updating your control at all.
