List Rotator Control

List Rotator is similar to Ad Banner, but with more control.  Whereas Ad Banner will only display an image from a collection, List Rotator can display any content.

Simply create a list in Sitefinity and add items to it.  The items can contain pictures, links etc.

Drag and drop this control on to your page and give it the name of the list you created.  It will then pick an item from that list to display at random.

Very useful for adverts, sponsors and rotating blocks of text.

The item displayed can be styled by specifying the CSS class property.

I had looked forward to deploying this Teaser for a non technical customer, but "List Rotator Control" does not work with internal links and graphics.
Therefore, this Control unfortunately is of no help for ordinary customers.
Or did I fumble with something?

    Regards,

    Hi Peter.

I'm sorry to hear there are problems with the control on your site.

If you can give me more details of the problem I will try and solve this problem for you.

I understand you are demoing the control to a non technical customer and the control did not work with 'internal links and graphics'.  Can you tell me more about this?  The control usually works with a SiteFinity list and randomly rotates through entries in the list.

    Kind regards,

    Karl.

    Hi,
We use this control to rotate random "culinary quotations" within our gourmet food/cooking website.  It works perfectly.  Thank you very much!

Yes, I just downloaded the control. Installed it into Sitefinity. Created a list under the List module. I inserted two images into the list. I then added the List Rotator Control to my webpage and set my control to my list. The image do not appear, just the image placeholder where the image should be. I am running Sitefinity 3.7 SP 2.

Has anyone been able to make this control link to the item in the list? We'd like to be able to move the user to the full list so they can browse other items.
