Telerik offers 2 versions of Sitefinity - a free Community Edition (intended for hobbyists) and a commercial Standard Edition (intended for professional developers). See a Feature Comparison Table for the 2 Editions and decide which one is right for you.

You do not need a license key to deploy the software on your testing and development servers. You can access your applications via the IP address(es).

Sitefinity Standard Edition Commercial License:
The domain license key for Sitefinity Standard Edition Commercial License is generated for 1 top level domain name. There is no limitation to the number of subdomains.

You can create a LicenseFile in Client.net => “My Licenses”. The LicenseFile will be sent to your e-mail.

Sitefinity Community Edition License works without license key., so you don't need to generate any license keys. The product can be freely deployed on any server.

No, you are not allowed to use the RadControls outside Sitefinity. If you would like to use the Telerik RadControls for projects which are not based on Sitefinity, please purchase RadControls for ASP.NET Developer License(s) from the RadControls e-store.

If you would like to purchase both Sitefinity License and RadControls Developer Licenses, please write to sales@telerik.com and we will provide you with a special discount. The amount of the discount will vary on the type and number of product licenses that you will be purchasing.

Sitefinity Standard Edition Commercial License:
Telerik guarantees a response within 48 hours to your support inquiries. As part of this license you are entitled to unlimited number of support incidents for a period of one year.

Sitefinity Community Edition License
The Community Edition License does not include a support package. You are entitled to forum support only.

Sitefinity Standard Edition Trial License
Telerik guarantees a response within 72 hours to your support inquiries. As part of this license you are entitled to 5 free support incidents for a period of 60 days.

A support incident is defined a single support issue with the SOFTWARE and the reasonable effort required to resolve it. A single support incident is a support problem which cannot be broken down into secondary issues. A single support incident may involve several phone discussions, e-mails and offline work in order to be resolved. The Customer needs to provide Telerik with detailed information about the problem encountered. Though Telerik Support Engineers will make reasonable efforts to resolve the issue, Telerik does not guarantee any problem resolution.

All bug reports and product feature suggestions are not considered to constitute support incidents

Yes, we offer a fully functional trial. In order to download the trial, please logon to your Client.net account and go to ‘Licenses’ section. If you do not have a Client.net account, please register one. It will take only a minute.

The Sitefinity Trial license is perpetual and works without license keys. The Trial License displays a random trial message that will be disabled once you purchase a license for the Standard Edition Commercial License and create a license key for your domain.

Yes, all Sitefinity licenses are perpetual and you can use indefinitely all Sitefinity versions that were licensed to you during the subscription term. The license renewal is optional - by renewing your license you will receive 1 additional year of support and free product updates. The price of the license renewal is 30% of the initial license price:

There are two cases when you can have several domain names all pointing to the same website:

1. Domain Alias is a domain name that points to another primary domain. For example, if the primary domain name is "original.com" and a Domain Alias is registered for "alias.com", then “http://www.original.com” and http://www.alias.com will take visitors to the exact same pages of the “original.com” website. Furthermore, http://original.com/somefile.html will bring visitors to the exact same page as http://alias.com/somefile.html.

2. Domain Forwarding (URL Redirect) allows redirection of web requests for the parked domain name to content hosted on a different server. In case of Domain Forwarding when a visitor attempts to access the forwarded domain, the web browser automatically redirects to the specified website.

In both cases you would NOT need separate Sitefinity licenses for each domain alias/forwarded domain. In the case of domain aliases, please contact sales@telerik.com with the list of domain aliases, and we will generate additional license keys for you. In the case of domain forwarding, it would be sufficient if you generate the Sitefinity license key for the primary domain name only.

Nolics.net 2005 is a productivity tool that can be used to rapidly design database applications. The unique descriptive data modeling allows you to define data object model with less code than is used to define a table in a database.

Nolics.net 2005 is not a Telerik product, it is developed by Nolics Oy, a Finish company which has been doing object-relation mapping since 1993. Telerik acquired a Redistributable License for Nolics.net 2005 to ship the product as part of Sitefinity version 3.x.

Nolics is integrated in the Sitefinity build and it’s used in runtime by Sitefinity (in both Sitefinity Community and Standard Edition). With the Sitefinity Community Edition you will be able to use Nolics.net 2005 only in runtime whereas the Standard Edition also allows you to use the product in design time in Visual Studio

No, you don’t necessarily need to have Nolics.net 2005 to develop Sitefinity modules. With the Sitefinity Standard Edition License you will be able to use Nolics.net 2005 in design-time to extend existing Sitefinity modules and create new ones more easily and quickly, however you can still build and modify Sitefinity modules without using Nolics.net 2005.

No, you don’t need to install Nolics to use Sitefinity. Nolics is integrated in the Sitefinity build and it’s used in runtime by Sitefinity (in both Community and Standard Edition). Customers who own a Sitefinity Standard Edition License, however, will find a separate Nolics download in their Client.net accounts which they should install if they want to use Nolics to quickly extend existing Sitefinity modules and create new ones. By installing the Nolics download they will be able to use it design-time in their Sitefinity Visual Studio projects.

No, you cannot use Nolics outside your Sitefinity projects.

If you have a Sitefinity Standard Edition License you will see the Nolics download in your Client.net account under ‘Downloads.’ By installing the software you will be able to use Nolics.net 2005 in design-time in your Visual Studio projects. If you have a Sitefinity Community Edition License you will not see Nolics.net 2005 in the list of downloads, but the product will be integrated in the Sitefinity build.

Our products are delivered electronically through download. Once your payment is processed, you will receive 2 e-mails: one from our payment provider with payment details and another one from Telerik.
