The Challenge
Comgem is a digital media agency based in Cardiff, UK that specializes in delivering a range of digital marketing solutions including website design, email marketing, e-commerce solutions and customer relationship management. Being a digital agency, it is important that you effectively showcase your work but also lead by example, as potential customers will judge the quality of your work by the quality of your website. As such, Comgem required a solution that would allow them to combine great design with a fully optimized website and great functionality that was quick to deploy.

The Solution
Having used Sitefinity CMS for many years, Sitefinity was the obvious choice, providing a feature rich content management solution that would provide design flexibilities as well as maximize the opportunities for online promotion. We knew that Sitefinity would allow us to create a website that would fulfil all of our objectives, but also combine the requirements of our design, technical and marketing teams.

Sitefinity has allowed us to be more creative in our design and not be limited to the constraints of the content management system, but also facilitate the technical implementation of the project through the out of the box integration with jQuery that has allowed the creation of rotating banners and more advanced jQuery implementation to create a portal style homepage – that also fulfils our SEO requirements.

Out of the box, Sitefinity provides support for showcasing our work and projects through the use of image galleries and the creation of rotating galleries using the RadControls, but also allowed us to create a news and blogs section which seamlessly integrates into the various social networking channels which would further promote the site.

As our in-house developed solutions seamlessly integrate with Sitefinity – it has also opened up other opportunities for future phases of the website, but also allows us to capture user data and store it directly in both our email marketing application and CRM solution through the feedback forms and email sign up facilities.

From a content management perspective, we knew that Sitefinity would help in the management of a content rich website, in that we can share particular chunks of content across multiple pages (such as next steps and common call to actions) and further reduce our on-going time spent on managing and maintaining website content.

The Results
The end result has surpassed our expectations. Sitefinity has successfully fulfilled the needs of our designers, developers and marketers – which can be a real challenge at times.

Sitefinity has allowed us to combine functionality, creativity and marketing to create a website that will deliver fantastic results, but also automate many of the processes including dealing with customer enquiries and providing more information about our services.
